A new class of gateway, the Vega 400 is scalable from 15 to 120 VoIP channels using field-installable expansion modules. As a result, it grows with the user, so customers can cost-effectively provision for their changing needs. There’s no need to invest in a high-density carrier gateway initially, nor to stack lower-density gateways as traffic grows.

The Vega 400 can deliver maximum throughput for all types of VoIP traffic without degradation of service. This means customers can always reliably carry up to 120 voice channels.

The Vega 50 Europa connects a range of legacy telephony equipment (including PBXs, ISDN telephones, the ISDN, analogue phones and the PSTN) to IP networks. The Europa supports up to 10 analogue ports, and either 2 or 4 basic rate ISDN interfaces (4 or 8 channels). The BRI interfaces are independently configurable for NT or TE operation. The following gateway configurations are available:

• 4 FXS + 2 FXO
• 8 FXS + 2 FXO
• 4 FXS + 8 FXO
• 2 BRI interfaces (4 channels)

The Vega 5000 analogue gateways are designed to connect analogue telephones to IP networks. The Vega 5000 is available with 24 FXS ports or 48 FXS ports, to connect standard analogue handsets to an IP network. Two additional network-facing analogue ports (FXO) are provided for connection to telephone lines or to an analogue PBX.
